International cosmetics brand streamlines Brazilian distribution with Penske Logistics

Solution: Penske Logistics designed and implemented a healthcare-products certified distribution center in Brazil with responsibility for receiving, warehouse management and product invoicing. To ensure quality and compliance, Penske staffs the facility with a certified pharmacist technician.

Results: The distribution center's location reduces environmental impact due to a reduction in CO2 and other polluting gases by vehicles that were previously used to transport the products extremely long distances. Items now ship directly to the new distribution center. Orders are distributed to field sales consultants by a local carrier using fuel-efficient, lightweight vehicles.
