Results: The customer was able to more accurately gauge the cost of implementing more restrictive delivery times. Results showed an approximate 8% increase in miles, with a similar % increase in the number of shipments. The study provided a much more accurate estimation of the cost of improving store service which would not otherwise have been known until the initiative had been operationalized.
