The venture will see Drewry broaden the scope of information in its existing Freight Shipper Insight report to include new routes beyond the ex-Shanghai airfreight rates that it has been providing for two years.
"The combination of Drewry's expertise in freight rate benchmarking and WACO-System's extensive market involvement in airfreight forwarding creates a unique, reliable rate benchmarking capability for shippers," said Philip Damas, director at Drewry.
"WACO partners with a number of organisations who bring value to our network," said Richard Charles, executive director, WACO-System.
"This reciprocal agreement provides our network with access to Drewry's specific industry intelligence to help members manage their business with ocean carriers and shipping lines, and customers to support procurement and index-linked contracts."
Drewry said it has chosen WACO-System for its extensive network of air freight forwarders throughout the world.
