DB Schenker to Construct Logistics Centre in Czech Republic

It will feature an 8,000-square-metre hall with 92 loading platforms, including six jumbo platforms, and a 4,700-square-metre office building for 320 staff. Operations are scheduled to start in the autumn.

The centre is expected to contribute to further growth in the Czech Republic and will offer faster transit times, due to excellent traffic links. It will offer a full range of logistics services, including handling of air and ocean containers.

The company said it will apply for the TAPA certification-A level for its sophisticated logistics centre. Customers will also benefit from a bonded warehouse and a warehouse dedicated to hazardous and flammable substances.
