American Airlines Launches Dallas-Madrid Service

The 787-9 is also currently operating from DFW to São Paulo (GRU), with plans to tack on the DFW-Paris (CDG) route in January 2017. A month later, the new 787-9 will also start flying between DFW and Incheon (ICN), the airline says.

“The introduction of the 787-9 brings another more fuel-efficient aircraft type with even greater cargo capacity into the American Airlines fleet,” said David Vance, vice president of cargo operations, adding that there has been long-term demand for increased space on the U.S.-to-Spain route.

American also said it expects to have four new 787-9 jets flying within its network by the end of 2017.
