Yusen Logistics Launches China-Japan LCL Service for Automotive


Previously, ocean freight from the Guangzhou area was first sent to Hong Kong by feeder ships, loaded onto primary transportation vessels, then shipped to Japan, with a lead time of approximately 15 days. Under the new service, freight is loaded at Nansha Container Freight Station, then shipped directly to Japan, shortening lead times by approximately 10 days. Yusen said the service is in response to increasing demand for high-frequency, small-lot transportation, primarily driven by growth of the automotive parts industry. The company now operates four lanes from China to Japan, including Shanghai, Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Guangzhou.
