Melting polar ice could create a new shipping lane through the North Pole by 2050, according to research by the University Of California at Los Angeles. In the future, melting sea ice could mean that ordinary shipping vessels will be able to navigate parts of the Arctic Ocean which were previously inaccessible, without the use of icebreakers to clear their route.

DHL to Spend $52.5m on Indonesia Positioning
DHL Supply Chain will invest $52.5m over the next few years to further strengthen its position in Indonesia. By 2015, the company plans to increase its transportation fleet by over 100 percent up from its fleet of 370 vehicles at present and grow its staff strength by over 70 percent from its current base of some 2,250 employees.
