US Airways Appoints General Sales Agent in France for Cargo Operations
Expanding on its existing relationship in other countries, US Airways has appointed EFIS Air, a subsidiary of ECS Group, as its cargo general sales agent in France. The two already work together in the UK, Belgium and the Netherlands.
DB Schenker to Construct Logistics Centre in Czech Republic
DB Schenker Logistics says it has started building a 23.5m euro ($32m) logistics centre in Rudna u Prahy, close to the Czech capital of Prague. The 90,800-square-metre terminal has been designed to meet the most advanced technological, safety and environmental requirements, the company says.

IATA says the global air cargo market shrank by 1.5 percent in 2012, a second successive year of decline following a 0.6 percent contraction in 2011.
