With the end of a supply chain disruption, you might breathe a sigh of relief. But don’t hold your breath waiting for things to get back to normal.

Same goes for just about any type of global supply chain disruption. Think of it as the “rubber-band effect”: “It’s not the stretching, it’s the release,” says Steve Norris, chief customer officer at Logicbroker, provider of a platform for supply chain orchestration employing agentic artificial intelligence. The hard reality of disruptions is that their impact reverberates throughout supply chains and can take a long time to dissipate. For companies that depend on timely and reliable shipping, the way to mitigate those effects is by adopting an “asset-light,” multimodal fulfillment strategy across multiple suppliers. And that’s no easy task. Is agentic AI sufficiently mature to help supply chains acquire the necessary reliance and agility? Hosted by Bob Bowman, Editor-in-Chief of SupplyChainBrain.
