Saddle Creek Boosts Security with Asset Tracking Technology from SkyBitz

Saddle Creek Transportation Inc., a subsidiary of Lakeland, Fla.-based third-party logistics services company Saddle Creek Corp., has implemented the Global Locating System asset tracking technology from SkyBitz to provide enhanced security for  customers' high-value shipments.

"We're a testimonial to the ease of installation of the SkyBitz mobile terminals," says Mike DelBovo, senior vice president of Saddle Creek Transportation. "We were able to install SkyBitz units on 100 trailers at three different sites and be up and running in just two weeks. The SkyBitz team ensured that all of our associates on every shift were promptly trained on how to use the Web portal and all the system functionality."

"With SkyBitz, Saddle Creek will not only achieve enhanced security but will also benefit from increased asset utilization and trailer continuity," says Roni Taylor, executive vice president for SkyBitz. "In addition, our technology can easily be integrated with Saddle Creek's transportation management system for added efficiencies."
