Department of Transportation's Hazmat Regulations Amended

March 24, 2010

An amendment has recently been made to the Department of Transportation Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration's 49 C.F.R. Part 1721. Changes involve tightening of regulations regarding the transportation of hazardous materials. Materials that are the most hazardous will undergo more stringent guidelines. The changes also clarify some regulations that are already in place. Additional information is available in the newsletter of the International Warehouse Logistics Association.
