A warehouse management system from RedPrairie vastly improved the ability of SCA Transforest to provide transportation and logistics services for the paper industry. From a pool of 12 vendors, the Swedish company chose RedPrairie to enhance operations at nine terminals. With real-time planning, SCA Transforest no longer needlessly ties up valuable warehouse space waiting for delivery of product, has optimized outbound transportation, is able to manage a larger volume of goods and has greater visibility and tracking capability.
