It allows users to generate multiple commercial routes and geocode locations with a few lines of code. At the core of ALK Maps lies the PC-MILER routing engine. It allows companies to generate accurate routes to ensure the safety of trucks and commercial vehicles. In addition, ALK has released version 19 of its PC-MILER/Rail application, which is geared toward railroads, large rail shippers and railcar lessors. Key applications include fuel-surcharge calculation, car hire, equipment management, railcar mileage auditing, rate determination and negotiation, carrier selection and ad valorem tax reporting.
