Descartes Acquires Trade Data Provider Customs Info

Customs Info provides trade data and related research tools to more than 800 multinational shippers. The data includes trade tariffs, duties, regulations, trade agreements and rules of origin. Customs Info provides online global trade research tools, as well as a cloud-based application to help users manage complex classification databases for their operations around the world. The company also supplies duty and tax content to electronic-commerce sites. Descartes offers the Global Logistics Network, used by more than 10,000 customers to manage and execute shipments. The deal was valued at $41.5m, net of working capital, plus potential performance-based consideration.
