Yusen Logistics Expands Short-Haul Intermodal in Eastern U.S.

Typical lanes include Atlanta to Baltimore and New Jersey; Chicago to Orlando; Memphis to New Jersey; Cleveland to Boston; Newark to Columbus, Ohio, and Atlanta to Jacksonville and Orlando. According to Yusen, short-haul intermodal results in lower costs, multiple box options, set transit schedules and more environmentally responsible transit. It typically involves moves of less than 550 miles, offering the options of both rail and over-the-road transport. Yusen Logistics has more than 478 offices in 40 countries.
