Roadrunner Renames Transportation Management Unit

Roadrunner Transportation Systems Inc.

The company said it has expanded its international capabilities through multiple acquisitions, including Marisol International and Unitrans, over the past year. The unit's operating structure will remain the same, providing such services as air and ocean freight forwarding, customs brokerage, value-added distribution and domestic transportation-management, the last consisting of carrier rate negotiation and contract management; route, rate and mode optimization; shipment planning and execution; freight bill audit and payment, and cost reporting and analysis. Roadrunner's services include customized and expedited less-than-truckload, truckload logistics, transportation management, intermodal, freight consolidation, inventory management, expedited services, international freight forwarding and customs brokerage.
