The Scheduling Standards Consortium (SSC) announced May 1 that seven new organizations - Arrive Logistics, Blue Yonder, Coyote Logistics, e2open, Echo Logistics, One Network and Oracle – had joined the industry-led effort focused on creating a standard for scheduling within the logistics and transportation industry.

Currently, the SSC’s main focus is transportation management system (TSM) appointment scheduling. Eventually, the organization hopes to support the additional use of scheduling software vendors.

The SSC’s initial documentation and System Interaction Model are expected to be shared publicly during the second quarter of 2023. The SSC also said its technical standards and API (application program interface) design will be implemented into at least one transportation management system by the end of 2023.
