Apriso Offers 'Smart-Pull' Manufacturing Processes

The tool incorporates real-time operational intelligence into the design and execution of pull processes. The result, claimed Apriso, is "smarter" pull and kanban signals that can enhance operational performance. The new Smart-Pull offering draws on FlexNet's Manufacturing Process Intelligence to enhance kanban-driven processes. It incorporates a broader scope of actual events or historical performance data. As a result, an electronic kanban signal can consider up-to-the-moment seasonal order fluctuations, supplier quality performance or employee knowledge. In the process, Apriso said, the system can trigger more accurate replenishment signals.
