Vocollect Unveils VoiceExpress for Rapid Implementation at DCs

The tool aids in the rapid implementation of voice across virtually any distribution workflow, the vendor said. Vocollect's certified partners can reengineer processes without the need for host changes or significant IT resources. According to Vocollect, new workflows, covering such tasks as cycle-counting, putaway, receiving and loading, can be voice-enabled within a matter of days. VoiceExpress draws on the vendor's latest client software, Vocollect VoiceCatalyst, which operates on multi-vendor vehicle-mount and fixed-mount computers. Capability for handhelds will be added later this year. VoiceExpress is now commercially available worldwide. Vocollect is a business unit of Intermec, Inc.
